Hole: Kidnapped in Georgia

In June 2002, Peter Shaw, a banker from Wales, was brutally kidnapped by a pseudomilitary organisation in a busy suburb of Tbilisi, the capital city of Georgia, in eastern Europe. Hole is the account of his five month captivity and subsequent escape in November 2002.Peters story focuses on how he managed to endure the physical and mental torture inflicted upon him by his captors, particularly during a period of 141 days when he was held in appalling conditions, chained by the neck in a tiny cell three metres underground, unlit, cold, wet and isolated.
